I want to bore and put a stroker kit in my 250x but I don't know what I should buy. I want to build the most ratical motor I can but still run it on pump gas, 93 octane at most. I thought about getting a hotcam for it also. Just kind of confused on what would work best with what? Any Suggestions?

 

a 250ex is not the thing to be super-moding IMO. you would probably be money ahead if you bought a 400. but if you still want to mod the 250, get a midrange overboar kit, so not too much worry about overheating, and put in a stage1 hot cam. the stroker kit will bump up compression, but you will still be able to use 93 im sure. if you went to a stage2 hotcam and huge overbaor kit your looking at running jetfuel...

 

I put 250x not 250ex. You know the same thing as a 300ex
