Default Replacing Rocker Arms

I want to replace the rocker arms and after reading about the pins in the Clymer, I am wondering just how hard it is to pull them out. If I file the notch in them that they are talking about, can I pull them with vise grips and a hammer?

i can do it in about 1 minute, you need to take a pair of visegrips and pull the pins, take a 90 degree pick or an allen wrench and slied the dowell out the the rockers just lift out

Ok thanks. I hope the pins come out as easy as you say. I've read where they can be in there extremely tight.
