Opinions on the Prarie 650???

What do you guys think? I like the the thought of V-twin power and torque turning over a big set of mud tires. I also like push button 4x4, along with the limited-slip/lockered differential. I may have to look at purchasing one, but the logical side of me said "what could this quad do my rancher could not"?
What do you guys think?
00'rancher 4x2es, 26x12 mud runners, 1500lb winch, herculined rack

The Quad looks great on paper, but that's all we know, what's on paper. No unbiased people have actually ridden it yet, so who knows. I think you have to wait and see what the machine is really like. Personally, I will probably wait a year or two to see how it holds up and if the other manufacturers answer the challenge, if there is one. I have a Rubicon and am perfectly happy to ride my single cylinder, 3.5 all time drive machine until I am sure it's the real deal. The hype on a machine that is untested is just that...HYPE. It may be the new king, but I will only acknowledge the crowning when the peasants have seen the proof.

There is a lot of hype out there about the Prairie 650. This could be a great ATV if Kawasaki delivers on what they say it will do.
This is what I like about it:
-selectable 2wd-4wd-locking (Are you listeining HOnda?)
-V-twin (sound really cool with aftermarket pipe)
-More torque
-More horse power
-More speed(?)
-Best brakes in industry
-Adjustable footpegs
-Metal racks
-90 watt head lights
-Rear shock with resivour (similiar to sports quads)
- 12 volt outlet front & rear
-Price $6999(same MSRP as Rubicon & Sportsman)
These are great features but it will be interesting to see how it holds up. All these features are not worth a doo doo if the machine brakes down. Lets hope Kawasaki engineers have most of the bugs worked out of this.

I love the features of the 650, but one look at the much to rounded plastic makes me think twice. Another thing that bugs me is when kawi said "this 2 cylinder engine has twice the power strokes as a single cylinder" well ya, but whats better- 2 smaller powerstrokes or one huge one with a single cylinder-- same power when ya think about it. Just my 2 cents, Joe

Kaw 650 is thirty some cc's bigger than griz.griz is 100 cc's bigger than H.O. and 100# lighter and h.o. still has more power.Your right two small pistons against one big piston.Hey all this hype and it could turn out to be a real dud.somebody said it would run 65mph but wont the griz and h.o. do the same.I hope it turns out to be the beasty machine every body is hopeing for, but lets not count our chickens before the eggs hatch. If Kaw comes off with something spectacular all I can say is its about time they did something.I gota say its a lota fun to speculate about.
