In the last year I have been through about 5 or so set of rear bearings & I cant figure why. My newest ones are 2 months old & they are already messing up. Is it how I ride (ruff) or is there somethig wrong with it.

well, do you ride in a lot of water or something? That might cause them to wear out faster if you aren't getting the little rubber piece back in the swingarm right.

Are you using good quality bearings ? Some aftermarket ones are not the best .

There is deffinately something wrong whether it be riding conditions ore an internal problem. You should not need to replace bearings so fast. First of all, who is telling u that u need new bearings? Second, what type of riding do u do? Take it to someone else and get another opinion. Lastly, ask your dealer to inspect the inside of the swingarm. If the same place is replacing them or u they are not being honest because they should find the problem. Good luck!

Just an idea but check the axle to see if it is not worn out and the bearing are still good. When you put new bearing in pot off the seal cover and pack both sides with good water proof grease. And like someone else said, you might be riding or swimming in the water to much. But, it is fun.

I have a 1998 300EX and recently the whole back went bad. I went out and bought a LoneStar Axle Carrier, Axle , and anti-fade lock nut. The LoneStar has grease zerks on it, so you can grease it from the outside and keep it rolling nice and smooth. I think the carriers is well worth $230.
