Honda has gone too far!!!
So I go to look at the new Honda website(very nicely set up I must say)to look at some of there dirtbikes and cruise through the atv section.Looked at the Rincon and the Rubicon, seem like nice machines to me.Then I go to the sport section WHOA!!They name all the sport quads x.300x,700x,400x and then I see 250x.I don't think this little shaft driven sport quads deserves to have the same moniker as one of the alltime great trail quads the original 87-92 250x.they were simple kick start and were a blast to ride.I learned how to ride on one and if I find one for good enough cash and condition I will buy one.I rode a 250ex and it did'nt have the same feel as the old x.Sorry for my rant but I had to get that off my chest.

idk y they changed the line from EX to X. probably since they came out with the 700x they wanted just the X in all there line up....idk but EVERYONE i know is in a tizzy about it! even me
y dont they go back to basics and make some "average" 250-400cc models with the good old kick start on them??? i would buy one, or two

Well times change....... the original 250x was a fun machine, but it died off. Sure the new 250x is a shaft drive, but the difference is now that a 250x is a pure entry level machine. In the 1980s a 250cc machine was not really entry level, as they were considered mid-level sport machines.
Maybe Honda should drop the CR250 engine in there, dump the shaft, and go after some sales that the Raptor 250 is getting...... that way the 250x would be more worthy of the name of its ancestor....... Of course that would probably mean the end of the 300x too.....
