I got a 1986 TRX 350 from the original owner that had been sitting for a while. I cleaned the carb, fuel tank, fule filter ect.. When I cranked it up it initially had some black smoke coming from the exhaust. I adjusted the "fork" on the side of the carb to allow for the opening of the air venturi and the needle at the same time. Now it is cutting out at top end and when I try to give it a lot of gas. Does anybody know what this is a sign of? It seems as if it is starving for gas. Does anybody know if there should be some type of "delay" or difference as to when the needle starts to open and when the air venturi opens? Id so how much?
