Default honda 400 foreman

well im new to this and i have a big problem and dont really know what to do. but its a TRX 400 FOREMAN AND IT WILL STAT AND IDLE REAL GOOD BUT WHEN YOU PUSH THE THROTLE IT DIES AS SOON AS YOU TOUCH THA THROTLE. BUT IT WILL IDEL ALL DAY LONG BUT WONT RUN PAST THAT! HOPEFULLY SOMEONE CAN HELP. THANKS

Is it starved for fuel or air? A plugged air filter could cause a problem like this.

If it really dirty, yes. Take a look at it and see. If it is caked with dust and air can't get through it, you could possibly be starving the engine of air.

i cleaned it and carb but still no luck wit it. do you think it has any thing with timing?

Leave the air filter off breifly to see if it rev's. If so, change the air filter. Probably needs a new one anyway.
How did you clean the carb? Dismantle? or spray w/ cleaner?
If the Foreman hasn't been run much in the past year, you could have clogged jets in the carb. Simply spraying or pouring something in it may not cut it.
Dose sound like a air/fuel issue. Not likly to be timing unless you have messed w/ the timing recently.

you need to take the jets out and clean them with welding wire, or sturdy piece of fishing line. anything that will fit in the holes of the jets will work. if its been setting its probably a clogged jet
