Read all the magazine reviews that you can find. One thing they all say is that the rear will not slide, and it pushes (understeers) badly in truns. It is 100 pounds heavier than a 400EX and 150 pounds heavier than a 450R, so that is a lot of extra dead weight to drag around....
I think this is a highly specialized machine, best suited for easter rocky rutted trails. It's not an all-arounder by any means! Honda says it was designed for the current big bore utility rider, who wants someting more sporty that has a manual clutch. If that's you, maybe it will fit your bill.

Trust me it WILL slide if you want it to. It took me a little while to figure out how to do it, but you have to make it slide. I think that's one thing the mags didn't do was to spend enough time on it to figure it all out. The 700xx makes 53hp stock and the 450 makes 42.6. The extra 10hp is plenty to make up for the extra 100lbs.
