I dont think there is any thing to worry about, the Rancher is a new model and honda needs to work out a few bugs, the A-arm deal was just a safty issue,I am happy with Hondas way of dealing with it,I can remember a recall on the 300 4x4 and it was the number one selling quad for reliability,I have owned 3 Hondas and the only time I had to put mine in the shop was a stripped oil bolt I caused,I can remember more than one time that my friends could not ride with me,because their Polaris or Kawa. was in the shop.I love my Rancher and would not trade it for anything.just keep riding red, check out my freind Prestons website www.ultimateatv.50megs.com,they all ride Hondas....

My Honda Rancher has been great so far. Never broke down & left me stranded, never failed to start. In almost a year the Rancher has 925 miles on it. The only maintenance so far has been
-adjust slack out of throttle cable (everyone should do this)
-oil change
-cleaned air filter
-replaced one plastic rivet

Nothing thats mechanical is perfect, it's going to have a malfunction some time along. I don't care whether its honda, yamaha, kawasaki, suzuki, polaris, ect. None of these machines are made perfect, they only perform as well as their maintianed.
