Default Rubicon Upgrades

I have only been four wheeling for the last year and a half. I have a 2007 Rubicon and now I am ready to spend a little money on it. It is completely stock from top to bottom. I got a little tax money back that I can throw at it (around $600), plus it is my duty to help stimulate the economy! I would love a bit more power and speed to keep up with my buddy who rides a Polaris Sportsman 700, but we also ride rough terrain. Just curious if you all feel if I am better off spending the money on upgraded tires or should I rejett / exhaust / air filter, etc.? I appreciate any adivse.

Definitely get rid of the OEM tires Choose something in the middle. I made the mistake of getting "MUD TIRES" and when I went off the trails the ride was very rough. Purchase Canadian Trail Edtion Adjustable Shocks ( approx 368.00 incl ship). This way you can adjust shocks to your riding conditions (Mr Cycle speak to Shawn) Other than that I'd leave it stock. I have a 06 Ruby and it's plenty fast and powerful. You also might want to buy a "D" socket from Motion Pro to adjust your Pilot Jet. Honda "STEALER" sells this tool but, it's about $100.00 and the socket is approx $9.50 incl ship. Why so much cheaper? Because with the socket you have to reach by carb and with the Honda tool it has a longer handle but, It is really is easy with socket and access to carb there's plenty of room. Hope this helped.
