Yes, it will cause a rattle. I replaced my rockers in my 250X for the same reason. You will need a tool to get the pins out. There is no way you can tap them out with a screwdriver like the Clymer says. I made a tool and will lend it to you if you want. Let me know. PM me.

How did you get the pins out? Also, I don't know why your rockers wore out but the reason mine did is because the guy before me put a race cam and then heavy valve springs. I'm pretty sure that the heavy springs wore the rockers out so make sure you have stock springs or the rockers will wear out again. I went back to stock everything and am really happy. It still runs great and strong.

Yep, pin puller. I made one. Where are you located? I'm near Charlotte, NC. I love my 250X. It'll outrun a 300EX any day. And it's perfect for the kind of trail riding I do.

im from central ny, i can't wait to get the bugs worked out of mine(and for the weather to get nice enough) so i can go out and ride. i'v had a banshee in the past along with some dirt bikes but the trails around me are tight woods and it seemed the two strokes didnt really like it. this is my first 4 stroke that i plan on riding alot, i had a 200x but that was for doing wheelies around in my yard.
