Default Question About Hubs and Bearings

A friend of mine has an 05 Rubicon with around 5000mi and is on his 2nd set of front wheel bearings about to get his 3rd. He's not a big mud rider and the machine has never been sunk in a mudhole. He wants to know if any company makes aftermarket bearing or hubs for the Rubicon/Foreman line. Something that's higher quality than the OEM Honda hubs and bearings.

Strange. Mine have been fine, and my buddy's Rubicon has been fine.

I don't know about aftermarket bearings, but is he running tractor lug looking tires on hard surface?

That does seem strange. I have an 05 Rubicon with about 6400 miles and only had to replace the front bearings once.

Seems to me like something is out of line.

He's running Bighorns on the stock wheels. Riding conditions vary but mostly dirt/muddy trails...some gravel road and very little asphalt.

Man, that shouldn't chew up wheel bearings. I wonder if something on the hub could be out of spec and putting a funky load on the bearings?

Go with HL Bearings, they are sealed bearings but I go through mud and water/big tires so factory bearings only lasted me 15 Months.
