The ER can be a bitch to start. Try opening the choke, pump the gas about 8-10 times and then hit the start button. It works for mine everytime.

Ill be sure to try it thanks I still want to know how to adjust the vavle how to find top dead center on the compression stroke

On the brake side of your case there is a round metal cap on the case. On the very edge of that there is a mark. Take that cap off and turn the crank clockwise until the punch mark on the crank lines up with the mark on the case. I will post a picture in a minute.

Ok thanks for the pic that cleared up alopt sorry about all the questions I don't know much about quads so ya but how do I turn the crank and by doing all this it adjusts my valves??? Right????

I have never done it. I just did some research. I know that lining up the punch mark on the crank with the mark will put the piston at TDC but I'm not sure how to tell if it is on the compression stroke, that just seems to easy. I know there is more to it involving shims and stuff???

sixty bucks for what to have it done by a mechanic bc where i live its way more expensive than that
