Default old school TRX 250

So I picked up a used '87 TRX 250 the other day. It's in outstanding shape and appears like it's lived most of it's life in a garage. I got it as a "backup" quad and as something for my wife to ride. I've already found out that it doesn't like to run with the gastank cap vent in the off position. Unfortunately I learned that last night while out riding in the snow. We only get decent snow about every 10 years so you gotta ride, right? ANyways, since I've already got that little tidbit figured out is there anything else I should know about this machine? It seems to be a heafty bike and built pretty solidly. Any other hints would be welcomed.

Is it the 250X or just the regular 250?

Just the regular 250 with the racks. I just got back in from riding it and the old girl runs very well.
