I outfitted my ATV with a $20 digital mountain bike speedometer from Walmart. I attached the sensor to the outside caliber and the magnet on one of the 4 stems that the brake rotor attches to the hub with. I attached them with epoxy. The install was about 1 hour and very easy. All I had to do is remove one front wheel. Plus because the sensor and mangent are mounted on the inside of the wheel it is protected against damage. This weekend I will take the tire off and take a picture of the install (the location of the sensor and magnet are very important) and post it here. By the way the digital speedo, is programmable to the diameter of the tire, along with speed, trip, and odometer, it also records max speed, trip time, average speed and a few other things. The only thing I wished it had was a backlight. However I did notice the other day that walmart now sells one with a backlight for about $30.

Yikes, Rimfire... that kind of question will only get your feelings hurt as it seems no matter what kind of deal you make....there always seems to be another who got a better deal somewhere else.
I bought mine, a new o8, outright with es, last month for $4468. ...Look out!!! Now comes all the others that got even better deals that you and I

Better choice than a Big Bear for sure. It will work but has better gearing for general pleasure trail riding, it ill not scream out at 45 mph like a Big Bear does.

It all depends what state you buy it from. I paid for my 07 Rancher 420FM $5,650 OTD my friend paid $5,800 OTD for his 08 Rancher 420FM (Texas) So both of you got better deals then I did.
Good choice on the FM!
