I just purchased a 2000 Honda Recon 250, 2wd.

I am moving to CA and see I need a Certified Spark Arrester. Can someone help me see if mine is already setup this way.

Thanks everybody and sorry to ask such novice questions but I want to learn as much as I can.

So a 2000 even though that is pretty old has the certified pipe? That is good news, should I look somewhere particluar so I can see it for my own eyes in case I get asked?

Stock meaning factory correct? I would think an older bike like mine would not have one.

They have had them stock for at least as far back as 86 - there is one on my 250R.

Yeah, stock means the factory equipment. There may even be stamping on the muffler somewhere saying that it meets standard such-and-such...
