I am looking for a replacement exhaust for my 01 Rubicon 500. I want something that is no louder than stock, preferably quieter. I don't mind if I loose a little bit of power to get it quieter, but would rather keep the power or increase if possible. I don't ride hard or need extreme speed/power, but its nice to have every now and then. I would take quietness over power.

What is out there?

Not sure, but the only thing that I know of that might make it quieter is The Stealth Exhaust. That is simply an addition to your existing exhaust that silences it a bit without loss of power or performance.

 

put a stealth on my friends polaris last week.didn't make that much of a differance.not for the price anyway.

 

The stock exhaust is probably the quietest you are going to find, then add a silent rider if needed.

If you cruise e-bay and classifieds, maybe you can snag a nearly new stock muffler from someone who's switched to aftermarket...
