Default Fuel leak???

I have a 94 fourtrax 300 4x4 and noticed that I have a gas leak coming from the overflow tube at the bottem of the carburetor. Sometimes it leaks and sometimes it doesn't. Any suggestions and solutions to fix it?

Start with the float valve and seat. Chances are there's some gunk in there, or the needle is damaged.

On carbs that have a primer, sometimes the rubber can crack and leak fuel into the float bowl until it overflows.

Not sure if the 300 is equipped like that or not.

just pulled everything apart and found some trash in there. Also checked the fuel coming from the tank and it has alot of trash coming out. Any ideas how to get this trash out and keep that tank from rusting like that. That is whats causing this.

the gas tank was rusted up pretty bad so I cleaned the carb out and got the rust out of the tank and now I have no problems

Metal tanks are a blessing and a curse. Fuel last longer because the metal doesn't breather like plastic does, but then you eventually get the rust thing going on.
