Default 2008 honda trx450er airbox questions?

hello all. i have been doing some research on my new 2008 trx450er. want to put a lrd full system exhaust on it. i was wondering if anyone knows the difference between the 2006, 07, and 08 airboxes. i know the lids are the same 06 thru 09. but the area in question is where the lrd header and 08 airbox are close together on the bike. i havent bought the pipe yet and want to be sure it will fit without touching the airbox. the dealer that has the lrd pipe says it wont fit a 2008 but will fit a 2006 without touching the airbox. i contacted lrd and they said no difference, that the system will fit 06-09. but i looked up factory parts on bikebandit.com and they look the same, but have different part #'s 06 thru 08. i can't view the area on bikebandit that i need to see becuase of the position of the schematic. so what gives? has anyone esle ran into this on an 08 450r? i want to keep my airbox and run a moflo protec airlid. i would appreciate the advice. thanks, lindsey

From my understanding there is no difference.

as far as i know the air boxs on 06-09 are the same. i have an 08 model and i run a two brothers full exhaust with no problems. if you do have a clearance issue you could always try some of that heat wrap to wrap your pipe up to protect your box from the heat.

I'm thinking you will be just fine.
