Thanks guys for the information. I got my quad back from the shop this week. The mechanic showed me a small plastic bag with a handful of sand in it, which he took out of the carburator. Supposidly sand went thru the carb, into the cyclinder, and scored the sides. It had to be bored 20cc over to correct the damage.
