Default What kind of gas?

Here in a couple of days I'm going to be getting a 2007 Honda TRX 450r. I'm not new to four wheelers, but I've never owned a sport/race type of one. I was wondering what kind of gas I should be using. Do I use regular unleaded or something else. I know, it's a noob question, but if anyone could help I would appreciate it.

93 octane like Paul said. I know most manual's say 91 octane at least but at most gas stations I go to they have 93 octane which is better anyways.

Depends on the elevation of where you live/ride, the higher the elev the lower the octane requirement. Sea level you would want 93, 1500- 4500 91, 5000+ you would be fine with 89-90. Just stick to what premium grade is available in you area. Of coarse, that all changes with jetting.

91 octane is the highest pump gas available around here. I add Klotz Octane booster, which bumps it up to 93.5....for a little insurance against detonation. Plus, Klotz contains a fuel preservative and more important an ester synthetic lube for the top end!

That should do it right there. How do you like klotz? I was looking at that for my quad and was debating on getting it.

150 cc's of Klotz does 5 gal of gas, so it doens't turn out to be all that expensive. The top end lube is what I like the best. It will help keep your valves in good shape.

Cool! I think I am going to try some out and see because like you said making sure your top end is protected, is important!
