how loud should a well used 400ex be ticken in topend, has new timing chain and tensioner, valves adjusted right, nothing worn to badly, just normal wear, but it's a 99 and has been well used, but many new parts, should it tick or be super quiet? thanx for any advice out there

 

the 400ex motor is a relatively quiet motor compaired to like a 450r. my 400ex ticks a little but nothing too noticable. if everything is tight and adjusted correctly i would not worry too much about it. just my opinion
