My 86 TRX200sx "was" running fine but every once in awhile it would not start up, just turn over and over and over. Thought it was a gas issue, but not, pulled the plug, grounded and with key on and switch to the "start" position, I turned over the engine. Weak and I mean weak spark and at times NO spark. Battery is a bit low but should have generated a better spark than what I get. Did a visual inspection of coil, looks good but who knows. I would say that the spark is just not hot enough to ignite the gas. Anyone have any ideas or a plan of attack they are willing to share? The plug is brand new! No cracks in the plug wire! Checked the main fuse..good! Headlight burns w/key on. New gas! Read all the old postings and read where one guy found his weak spark problem in the ignition key switch????? Don't know if he just cleaned all the contacts or what? Is there anything in the box under the seat on the left frame rail where the main fuse is located that I should check out?

 

yeah my 3 wheeler did the same thing but it took alot of pushing in pulling to get it to spark then after it sparked i would start it up then it would run perfect till i shut it off then it would take alot of that stuff again to start it but your problem is THE STATOR ITS BEHIND THE FLY WHEEL.
