I have a 2002 thx250ex sportrax. It won't start. It has not been run in 2 1/2 years. So the usual was done, new gas, new plug, cleaned the carb. Turns over untill the battery is dead, but no spark! it ran just fine when it was last in use. Any ideas? I really need the help as I need to sell this thing as I cannot ride it any longer. Thank you in advance for any Ideas.

 

Are you sure there's no spark? Most likely cause after sitting so long is bad gas plugging the carb. Was the carb pulled and completely disassembled, cleaned and reinstalled?

 

Yes. I took it out, disassembled it, totally cleaned it, and reinstalled it.

 

How are you checking for spark? If it truly is not sparking, and you said the plug is new, I would check fuses, kill switch, ignition switch. Do you have a meter or a schematic?

 

where are you from? cause i have a 250 ex and need some parts, and then ill fix yours
