Exclamation 07 or 08 400ex!

hello everyone. i am new to the thread and about to buy my first sport quad. i am looking at either a new 07 or 08 TRX400EX. there is a 1000 dollar price difference between the two and am not sure if the extra money is worth it. I am 21 and every dollar counts so unless its a big difference performance wise i would definitely like the cheaper route ( 3800 for 07 4800 for 08). This will also be my first new quad purchase so if you guys have any general advice to give about the purchasing process please share! thanks for any help you may give!

I vote for the 07. Use the $1000 for something else.

Come back for some advice on breaking it in, oil changes, and valve adjustment!

nerf bars, tires and a bumper. skids if you ride in bad terrian. a slip on w/quiet core, hi flo filter and a rejet would be a great start.

There were 80 changes between the '07 and '08 models. Mostly in ergonomics, but as you already know the body is the most dramatic change. IMO the '08 looks 10x better than the '07 and previous years. Too bad you already bought one because I am selling a 2008 model WITH all the mods you'll be doing anyway for $3700.
