All 4x4 Honda,s do not have awd diff lock as a option as of yet, they still use a limited slip front diff.

There are locker add on kits if you want to add the option yourself.

Put some nice more aggressive 25" aftermarket tires on the Rancher and you would miss diff lock that much. My friend has diff lock on his grizzly he seldom uses it.

Incorrect nonsense!!!

All Hondas for the last 10 years or so have had a very effective torque sensing differential that sends the power to the wheel with traction. It is the same system found on the Range Rover for example, and is biased 70% for the wheel with traction. In most situations except perhaps mud (where neither wheel has traction!), this is superior to lockers which send only 50% traction to each wheel all the time.

Yes, and a wise man will realize that is the beauty of it!!!

While a locked axle will uselessly send power to a wheel that has absolutely no traction (being locked, it is mindeless and incapable of sensing whether a wheel has traction or not!), a torque sensing system will send the power to the wheel which has more traction, and not waste it on a wheel that has none.

Not to mention, the huge advantages in not having to fight the steering.....

How come any serious Honda entered in a Pull off or mud event always has a locker kit added to it,why not just let the fantastic 3wd system do its stuff.

Go to a hard core site like Highlifter.com and see how many Honda riders do not have a locker system added on.

A Pull Off is way different. It's straight. You need traction only. Traction, traction, traction. No steering.
