Unhappy 400ex OEM part help

Alright, today i was riding my 2005 400ex at a friends house. He has two jumps and we were just messin around and all, well riding. I was just driving normal when all of a sudden my quad just locked all four tires and came to a stop. I got off and noticed oil everywhere. I went to check my oil and had none so i quickly got some and filled it back up. When i started it again it smoked a little so i took off my seat and found where it was smoking from, it looks like its missing a screw but when i went to go find the part on motosports OEM pictures, i couldn't find it.

It's located towards the front of my quad, on the right side, at the very bottom of the cylinder. If you know what this part is and could tell me where to find it on the oem list, that would be fantastic..until then i cant ride :'(

Here's a picture of the part, tomorrow i should be able to go back outside and get you a better view and look at it.

Its the top screw hole that it was smoking from (not a lot) and has no whatever in it.

Thanks

im thinking maybe an oil return line or something that feeds oil from the bottom end up top into the valve train but idno i cant really see the pic, hopefully a 400ex guru will chip in.

Did you mean to say it was on the right side on the BACK?

If so, that is a top mounting bolt.
It holds your cam chain tensioner lifter.

It's #9 in this breakdown...
Genuine HONDA OEM Parts :: CAM CHAIN @ TENSIONER Parts for HONDA TRX400EX 2000

But that's for my 2000 TRX400EX...

You may also need #7 and #12... gasket and O-ring... if the oil came out there.

Here is a good picture of what "I" am talking about from the service manual

The bad news is that if your bike stopped like that, it locked up... seized...

Sounds like it may have seized real quick.
Then when things cooled off and contracted, it freed up.

My guess is that you will have to rebuild it.
Probably scraped up your cylinder walls and killed the rings.

That was the timing chain tensioner mounting bolt you were pointing at. Sounds like lots of problems.

If it spewed out the oil and seized, I say the crank bearings are shot too.
That engine will start making lots of noise, real soon.

Default chain tension

i have actually broke a chain tensioner on a 400ex and it caused the engine to lock cause the chain got hung up inside... it made a loud tick when you would roll it anyways i took out the chain tensioner and took the engine apart (down to chain) put new chain and tention back on new gasket kit and the quad runs great again ....the center screw adjusts tension to plastic chain guide and the two smaller screws mount the tentioner and might leak oil if missing anyway hope my rambleing helps you out....later!
