Is it me or are the price of performance quads skyrocketing?I mean it's bad enough our sport is slowly trying to be phased out by those talking heads in Washington,but adding $8000 quads isn't helping people get into the sport either.

 

I think we should all just take a minute to think about how far our sport has come. We should be glad that the Cannondale's are coming out. If they are a better quad, that just means that Honda/Yamaha will have to one up them. (I stated only Honda and Yamaha because the other manufacturers seem as though they could care less about the high-perf. ranks). We SHOULD feel fortunate that the entire sport of ATVing is still alive and kickin'. These new companies just generate more interest in the sport, which is good for all of us!!!

what are you talking about fx400 looks like a frog that got ran over. The yellow 400 looks good. Raptors look the best but the fx400 is so ugly

 

you could go out and mod a 400ex with shocks that are better, motor that is faster, a new axle, and some a arms. the 400ex would be faster from what mags say a better handling atv for the same money. its ugly you cant fix that. It was nice when they fist thought about it but now its a ugly atv with bad power.

 

you can fix an ugly quad! if maier comes out with racing plastic, you will loose the headlights, and that is the only real problem (it is a little wide in the hood area, but i see maier fixing that too). the rear fenders are just fine on the fx400. it will be hard to mess with a 432cc liquid cooled fuel injected quad that only weighs 360lbs!

 

Just becuase you think it is ugly does not meen it is to everyone. Cant wait to get one!!

cant remember who said it, but "looks like a endangered species of frog that eats raptors!" give the looks a rest! it is crazy fast! i dont think guys ride banshees because they are pretty!

 

I would ride a pink polaris three-wheeler if it put me in the winners circle more often than my R does.Looks are the last thing on a racers mind.I am interested to see how they do.If they are indeed better it only means the other manufacturers will have to make better quads,and if thats the case everybody wins.
