I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if the motor had any numbers on it to be able to tell if it is a 300ex or a 250ex. Thanks for the help

 

There might be a sticker somewhere on the front of the frame that says something along the lines of TRX300 or TRX250. Sorry, I'm not really familiar with the Sport Quads that Honda makes.

 

These two machines are dramatically different, so no need to consult any "numbers" to tell which is which. The 300 has a chain drive and the 250 has shaft drive....so just look at the rear end!

If the engine is out of a frame, just look for a sprocket on the 300 and a shaft on the 250.

 

Oh, of course! I guess I was tired, I forgot that simple difference when I posted in this thread earlier. Yeah, that'll be the easiest way to tell.
