88 TRX 250r Head torque?
#1
Just picked up an 88 trx 250r with tons of extras and no more than an 1 hour on freshly rebuilt 70mm bore kit. It was said to be also stroked, with having an 86' crank. Put this machine with very high compression. This thing screws, But heres the down side.
Noticed that the exhaust seemed to smell like coolant and the spark plug had very small droplets of water. Removed the power cool head to find that head gasket was never sealing properly.
Could anyone tell me the torque that the head bolts should be? and also which way the head gasket should go on?
The head gasket has a small restricted hole, Not sure if this hole should be on the inlet side of the head or the outlet side.
Thanks
