Default 1998 Camo Foreman 450s

Finally got my project for this year finished. After an unexpected failure of the rear shaft which led to having the motor partially rebuilt, I finally have it all back together with some changes to boot.

This year I added a quadrax Front Disc brake kit, painted the engine black before I reinstalled it, finished my reverese light project from last year, and installed a complete camo wrap. I chose the Natural Gear pattern, which is the same one honda uses on the new bikes.

For complete project details check out my garage on this site, or Porject Foreman on the Area51 page of my site Shed-Headz

Nice job on your quad. I have a yellow 2007 420 Rancer and would like to convert it to camo. Where did you get your fenders?

Looks Great! Reminds me of one I saw a long time ago on Honda Foreman Forums.

Thanks, the fenders are the original fenders, they were in great shape, just really really faded. The wrap came from camowraps.com, I ordered through a local dealer I found on their site. Makes an old set of fenders look like new. The Foreman Decals came from the dealer, I hand trimmed all the coloured material from them with an exacto knife.

Have you noticed any extra heat after you painted the motor black?
I want to do something similar on an upcoming project.

never noticed any extra heat, the coating of paint is as thin as I could make it and cover nicely, If I had to repaint, I'd strip whats there first to keep the thickness to a minimum. I used brake caliper paint instead of engine paint because it has a higher heat resistance rating. Fan kicks in the same as before, and I've still not ever had the temp light come on. (as a warning...it tests fine when you turn on the ignition)
