Unhappy TRX 90 Carb isues

I just went and cleaned all the jets in my sons 90. At first i couldent get it to run right it would idle up then down and quit so I rode it around a few times and shut it down. Now it wont start at all. What do I need to do next?

I'd check the vent tubes and make sure they're not blocked. If they're OK, I'd probably take the carb apart again and make sure that all of the jets are seated and there's no crud stuck in there anywhere.

Did you re-adjust the idle mixture screw (I'm assuming that your carb has one.)

Is it stock? Stock settings are 80 main(78 high altitude) 40 pilot, and 3rd groove for the needle. My sons was fouling plugs and running crappy when I first go it. The previous owner had "rejetted" the carb. I put it back to stock settings and it runs great now. Another thing, I would change out the plug if you haven't just recently.

Stock jetting for that quad is 80 main(78 for high altitude) 40 pilot, and 3rd groove for the needle. If you aren't stock, at least you can use that as a reference.

This carb is unusually suceptible to getting gummed up by stale gas. I have seen this over and over again....a gummed up pilot jet.

A lot of folks "clean" a carb by spraying some cleaner around and calling that good. Rarely do they actually get the pilot jet really clean. Jets are cheap, just replace the old one and don't fool around with trying to clean it.
