Sea Foam
#1
So I'm wondering if sea foam will hurt an in-line fuel filter. I know it works as a gas stabilizer and cleans engine parts really well but would it destroy a filter? It's just one of those small atv/riding mower filters and I don't know if it would deteriorate the filter and send trash down into the carb.

No first hand experience with Sea Foam. I would think that if it is compatible with other things in an engine (like rubber fuel lines), it would be just fine with a plastic fuel filter. In fact, you would probably want a filter just in case it dislodges something from the tank or fuel lines.
Personally, I run Klotz Octane Booster, not so much for the small boost in octane (+2.5) that prevents the possibility of detonation, but more because it is a fuel stabilizer, moisture absorbent, keeps the combustion chamber very clean, and most important it has an ester synthetic lube for the top end!

Will not hurt the filter.
This is great stuff for cleaning the fuel system. I have used it when preping snowmobiles for winter.
Best stuff I have found for stabilizing fuel is the FITCH fuel catalyst. It is a pill you just drop in the fuel tank. Was very skeptical untill several snowmobile and auto mags did extensive test on the product and found it really works. Use one in all my toys, lawn mower, snow blower, snowmobiles and atv. No need to drain the fuel from the tanks for long storage.
You can find at Dennis Kirk or google Fitch.
