Pilot jet
#1
Hello all,
I have a bone stock 2006 TRX400EX. I suspect, like my son's trail bike, that the factory jetting is lean. The Honda starts OK, but it is a chore to keep it running until it warms up. Is the general consensus that stepping up the pilot jet is the right way to remedy this? Note that the factory pilot jet size is #38 - should I step this up to a #40? I have also found that the pilot screw was set just 1 turn off its' seat (factory setting). I suppose I should try adjusting this out a bit as well.
Your advice is appreciated.
