I just read my new issue of ATV sport and i was reading the buyers guide. I looked at the speeds and 0-50 times. According to them the raptor and 650's top speed is 68 and the 400ex is 60. Now the real messed up stuff is that they say the 300ex top speed is 45 and the mojave is 54. Know think about it the 400ex is 250cc difference than the DS with an 8 mph difference. THe mojave and the 300ex are only 50cc difference but the mojave supposibly goes 9 mph faster. ????????? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM either their radar was screwed or they just aren't good with numbers!!
AND The thumbs down on the 250ex was it was an automatic clutch, but the thumbs up on the lakota sport was it was an auto clutch.AND ONE MORE THING. The Thumbs DOWN on the 300ex was that it had balloon like rear tires. HELLO the blaster, lakota, mojave, warrior, 250ex all come with balloon like rear tires. Anyway i like 4 wheel atv action and dirtwheels better.

Yeah, i read that also. And they listed the 300ex 0-30 at 3.53 seconds and the Mojave 0-30 at 7.40, Then they list top speed of the Mojave at 54 and the 300 at 45, Something sounds wierd with that. Those two quads are really close in aceleration and top speed. And they list all the Polaris models in the upper 50's, shouldn't the 400 Polaris be able to hit low 60's? Maybe they did the test runs in loose sand or something. They also said the 400ex has a dry weight of 400lbs, then on the side bar on the page they list the right weight at 374lbs.

I remember seeing those numbers.I think the top speeds were the mph within 14 seconds. I think that is why the numbers were a little low.

i think they where just rounding a little. it is a little much to round, maby 370 would have been a better number.

i think the Raptor and DS top speeds are around
76 and 400ex is 69 the 300ex is 57 and the mojave is 55 I also saw a scrambler 400 eat a 400ex in a 2/5 mile drag so it has to be faster or the 400ex rider was a little slow doesn't matter.

Most mags list the Raptor/DS650 around 71mph and the Mojave/300ex around 55mph. The 400 ex is listed at around 65mph.

Thoughs top speeds are rediculously slow, the "facts" are a joke. Those test riders must be the best in the business too, I've never seen a rider(s) who can ride machines with different charactoristics like second nature.

H*ll I can race my scrambler 400 against bozo on his 400ex "high performance race quad" and dust him with ease. I don't care what machine you ride, if you can't handle it, it's worthless!!!
