Default 2007 trx250 problem

Looking for some help. I bought this quad brand new last year. After about the 5th time is was ridden, it would not start. It would sputter for a second, but would not stay running. I took the carb apart, cleaned it and put it back together. Nothing changed. If I spray starting fluid inside of it, it will run ,but will not stay running. I am at a loss, this thing only has about 7-8 hours on it.

Most problems of this type that arise spontaniously, are from a lean condition. Probably going to be an air leak in the intake boot or air filter. But, more likely a clogged pilot/slow/idle jet. Yeah, folks "clean" their crabs all the time, and that means that they spray some cleaner around and call it good. You need to clean the idle jet...better yet, they are cheap so just replace it.

Yes you need to clean the "slow jet" or replace it (they are a couple of dollars each) .. Myself I would soak the jets in carb cleaner and if only used 7-8 hours a year I would use fuel stabilizer in the gas ..
