Looks like it has done a lot of pavement doughnuts.

Honda 400EX's are reliable, but not anything special as far as life.

Go look at it, listen to it, and find out what's been done to it so far.

Couldn't get the link to open.

I have a year 00 400EX, and it still runs as good as the day it was new! Nothing but normal maintenance, and very high quality ester synthetic oil....so there are certainly good ones out there.

If it has had any motorwork at all however, pass it up!

Default budget build 2000 400ex

I bought one about two weeks ago that had bad rings for $400 tore it down and found the problem. I went to ebay bought a bigbore kit for $350 and fixed it with an upgrade. $750 dollar atv runs great and plenty fast. I also put a stage three cam in it but just because i wanted to. so if you think you can fix it cheap you can prob sell it for more when your done with it

Did you get one of those "bolt on" 440 kits w/cylinder?
