Default Ever seen a Honda like this?

My buddies and I have these Honda Odyssey's from the early 80's. They are a riot on the trails but a bit hard on the back. They are actually only 48" wide so we can ride on all the ATV trails. Whenever we go riding they certainly spark a ton of conversation.

Anyone here have one? I wish they still made 'em!

Ah the old Honda Buggy .......the Odyssey was real popular back in the 1980s..... even saw a couple with a CR500 engine stuffed in......Honda should come out with a new one.

I have several friends who still have their old Odysseys and Pilots from back when. (Note that these are now names for Honda minivans!) They are great fun! You sit low however, and most of them don't have great shocks after all these years, so you take the rough terrain in the rear. No standing up and using your legs to cushion the impact, like you can do on a quad or bike.

Back in 1995, my first trip to Silver Lake dunes, I met a guy and his girlfriend,he was riding a mint rebuilt 250R,and she was tooling around in a Pilot with the 400cc 2 stroke in it. That Pilot flat out hauled, jumped like crazy, and could climb hills with ease. Of course, having a driver that weighed maybe 120 didn't hurt either !!

There were actually 3 different models. Mine is a 250 - front suspension is shocks and the back is the balloon tires only . The 350 (Odyssey in 1985) and 450 (Pilot in 89 and 90) were full suspension but are too wide for trails - 60"+ inches.

They are sweet machines!

Got to wonder why Honda didn't reintroduce these, with updated powerplants and suspension....when it was obvious that "sit down" Rhino style machines were going to catch on.
