last week i shattered my crankcase so i bought a new set on ebay swapped all the guts over put the whole thing together and put it back in my quad it started up perfect but its hard to get it down to first gear and wont go into second the neutral light wont come on and i cant start it without holding down the clutch also i cant even move the reverse lever can anyone help im ready to burn it

 

Im no expert but i once had troubles like yours and i ended up not having the shift fork drum tightened down and seated in the case properly. That cause me much frustration. That might be something to look into

 

yea i was thinking it might be somthing like that i was having problems getting that in right when i put the motor together i had to do it the opposite it said in the manual the manual said to to take off the right case first and to put it together in the left case but i didnt have the right tools to take the clutch off so i smashed the left case off and put everything together in the right case and put on the new left case on im going to try and mess with that tomorrow
