I was recently reading Dirt Wheels, and I came across a article that I thoguht was interesting. They said you could still buy a 250R bottom end from the Honda dealer brand new. That just made me wonder how much one is though. So, I was thinking about buying a 250R bottem end at the dealer, and then getting a Trinity Racing etc. top end put on it. I don't really want alot more cc's, maybe 300. So how much do you think it will all cost?

you can but a complete crate motor from service honda(if you can't you used to be able to) for 1700 or 1800. but the thing was you had to put it together.

wouldnt it be fun to build a 250r from scratch? if i had any money, i would do it! i read the bottom end thing and thought the same exact thing! roll lobo frame, 310 kit, axis shocks, holeshots all around, ac front bumper, blue full bore plastic, one industries graphics kit!

The very LAST people you want working on an R motor is Trinity. I speak from experience with them as will friends and we all live within driving distance of the shop and I'll never go there again.
You want a good motor? LRD, MacDizzy, etc. Go anywhere else.

I too have heard bad things about Trinity. I guess they went for quantity not quality.
It sounds like CT is headed in the same direction.
