Paddle/Wheel question on 08 250 ex
Santa told me he was bringing a new quad for son #3. Whee! Since we do most of our riding at the oregon dunes, I am shopping for the paddle tire and wheel combo. He currently has straight paddles on his little outlaw 90 and gets around really well. I have ITP sand stars on my rappy and like them. Son #2 has haulers on his pred and likes them.
So my questions:
1) Straight or v-paddle or does it really make that much of a difference? We are not extreme riders.
2) Wheel size? On RMATV, the options show 10 x 9 or 10 x 8 wheel to go with the same tire. Which one will work better?
Thanks for your input!

Keep it light! Sand robs power, and the little 250 needs all the help it can get.
In back, we run ITP T-9 rims and Skat-Trak 6-paddle Edges. The Skats are buffed down, and really really light compared to the current crop of less expensive heavy molded tires. At a place like Oregon there are a lot of trails and turning and maneuvering are important, so V-shaped paddles are the ticket. As for rims, the T-9's are great because they are wider than stock and have a greater offset, so that makes the bike +3" wider for a very nice increase in stability! (We ran Douglas blue label rims once. They were super light, but bent landing the first jump!

Thank you! I was bummed because just the rears were $327 on RMATV. But the day after Christmas, I found a set of rears on Craigslist for $125. on douglas black label rims. They are in awesome shape so I figured it was good karma.
Got the trailer loaded and we are taking an impromptu trip tomorrow down to the dunes to break the new quad in
