The cable will not stay where i put it when starting. Is this a problem with the cable (worn) or where it attaches to the carb?

 

If not mistaken, there is a plastic hex nut under the rubber cover on the pull end of the choke cable. Pull it back and tighten the nut a little until the cable stays in position when you pull it out.

I had the same problem with an 05 Rancher I used to own and I was told of this fix several years ago.

 

hey. i have a 06 honda recon 250. every gear works but 5th. when i shift into 5th. it feels like neutral. help!!!
