No More RUBICON Ofr 2010
#2
I have not heard anything on that yet. If that is true, that is a load of crap. IMO, the Rubicon is the best atv they make. If they did stop making it, hopefully they are going to come out with something better.
I think Honda has been making some bad decisions on the atv's they make. Take the Big Red for example, that is supposed to be marketed for farm use and they only put a 3 speed automatic transmission in it.

For there utilities ATVs they just have the 420 Rancher in its many forms(AT,ES...) and the Rincon!
Before Honda worries about EFI I would rather they lose the low powered old tech OHV motors, rear drum brake and add a diff lock first.

Even the cute lovable 250 Recon is gone! That just cost Honda a whole lot of sales I bet. http://www.atv.com/specs/honda/
What a choice a small mid size chassis 420 or a 680 3 speed Big bore with no low range.

I was told by my local dealer when I bought my son's 09 Recon, that Honda had a large inventory of 09s left and that's why they are not being sold for 2010. The salesman, a friend of mine, went on to say that the Recon and others left out of the 2010 lineup will most likely return in 2011.
On their website, my local dealer, they just show the Rincon and Rancher series under utility atvs and show no sport versions at all. I had heard that Honda was holding off on those also.
Seems to me Honda is out of touch with what people want in an atv.....motorcycles also. In that line, the Honda 250 Rebel has been dropped.
But this site says different:http://www.atv.com/manufacturers/hon...iled-1362.html

It's a good thing mine has a lot of miles left in it. LOL
If I bought a new ATV today I don't think it would be a Honda and I am the last person in the world that I ever thought would say that.

That's what I had been hearing that inventories were still running so high that certain models wouldn't be offered as 2010. If you look around some dealers are still offering new 2007 models. I'm one of those that has been waiting for a truly new updated Rubicon but it is getting hard to wait. I would be happy with a little more power, EFI, doesn't have to be IRS(would be nice) but leave the transmission just as it is.

They have to get out of there slow dull OHV motors and get into OHC like the rest. The 680 Rincon at 39 hp has the power of the new 550s now and less then any other 650-700 made. No EFI will help there motors out power wise.
