I think what zitaron was getting at is that when the ES fails and you can't shift when stuck in gear with the emergency tool,..you have to roll it backwards,..But in YOUR case it's stuck in reverse,...which means it will only roll forward.

oh, ok, well I'm hoping it's not a really big or expensive repair, also hoping that I didn't actually cause more damage trying to force it
