Can i go to the next size tire over stock and they still fit on the stock rim? these honda tires are kinda worthless compared to the mudlites on my polaris. if not i will just go stock size.

kinda thinking executioners for it because the price is right.

I've got 26" 589's on ITP wheels on my 2004.

 

I am running 27" mud zillas they really killed the bottom end power on a 400 at rancher.
Doing it all over again I would stay with 26" or 25's

 

I agree, limit tire diameter to a 25 or 26" and look for a lightweight tire. I had a 2002 350 Rancher ES and it was a great little machine untill it was drowned in Hurricane Katrina!

 

I run 26" zillas on itp 212 wheels...love it

 

I too am wanting to do a tire upgrade on my Rancher and was thinking of going up to a 14rim 26" tire. I would like to hear from Welder1 and Oxfordnative about if they notice a drop in power because of the 26" tires?

 

i'm going 12" rim 25" tire..to avoid power loss.

 

I'm running 25" mud bitches and 12" wheels and dont suffer from any real power loss, but 26's you will feel a neg. difference for sure...

 

The first 2 sets of of tires I bought were heavy and I stayed with the original size on my Rubicon.

The last set I bought are lighter tires and went with 26" and actually think I gained power over the heavy 25" tires.

It all depends on what you want from your tires; I bought a set of Carlisle ACTs and I am very impressed with their performance in the snow and for all around trail riding.

I think tire weight should be a major consideration.

 

I bought mine with the current tire set-up. 26" 589's all the way around. I can't compare because that's the only way I've ridden it. I could sure use more power though. I think the next set on will be 25's.
