Cool 09 rubicon tire issues

hey everyone it shows the last time i logged in was 2005 no wonder i couldnt remember my password. i have a question i just put on ITP OEM size delta wheels and OEM size zilla tires. the prob now is my tire on the left side is just rubbing the exhaust when the susp compresses. not much but enough to smell the rubber because the side lugs are a little aggressive on these tires. now, is my only option to get wheel spacers? and do i have to do the front wheels also and who carries the best brand for ease of installation. thanks for any much needed advice.

Sounds like they sent you 5x2 offset instead of 2x 5 for the rear. I use lug bolt spacers 1.5 inch. Some don't like them but I have been using them for years with no issues and at times I am really rough on the suspension. You should not have any issues with the 5x2 offset for the front. You can get the eight you need on ebay for $23.00 free shipping. the solid type run between $80 and $100 for the set.

thanks bent 1 so basically if i want to use the regular wheel spacers i only have to do the rear? and when i checked in to these particular wheels and i did look at several places they all said that the front and rear wheels were the same part no. im thinkin it has to do with the large aggressive lugs on the inner sidewall. thanks so much for your quick reply.

Delta / ITP etc. sell the same offset for front and back on their replacement wheels. If your new tires were as narrow as the stock tires you may have not even noticed. Your stock rear wheels have a deeper offset than your front, so the 5x2 offset should work fine for the front. Just besure to check the clearence.

You are only wanting 1 to 1.5 inch per side on the rear for exhaust clearence. If anything, the wider stance will add stability. No issues with that setup to do anything to the front.
