Default Just got a 450r last night

I just bought a really clean bone stock 2007 450er last night. I'm used to riding my 400ex and the difference is night and day. I love the instant snap it has.

i just bought an 04' 400ex and love riding it. since youve got a 450, how is the ride with the 450 shocks? i was thinking about swapping to 450 shocks.

I have a 400ex also. I love the stock shocks on the bike. I dont know the shocks on the 450r arent all that great to me. It seems like I can go thrugh the woods faster in turns on the 400ex. The 450r bounces up in the rear when I'm going fast in rough terrain and the 400 stays planted on the ground. the good thing about 450r shocks is they are adjustable. The best upgrades on a 400ex is a full exhaust filter and rejet. Do them all @ once and you'll feel a big difference. Good luck and let me know what you decide.

Yea the 400ex is not slow by any means. With your air box lid off get a k&n with outerwears sleeve. oh and depending on your elevation try a 155 jet and see what that does. good luck and keep the shinny side up.

I did the same trading my ex for a 450er It's amazing!! You could solve the problem of the rear end rebounding up by adjusting the rear shocks gases to expand slower if it's the same as mine it should have a adjustment screw with a s and h which stand for soft and hard.

Hey thanks. Yeah the power isn't even close on the 400ex and 450r. Good luck with your new bike.
