Default '01 400EX clutch help

I could use some help. I've got a 2001 400EX that's awesome but I just discovered the clutch is slipping in a couple of the gears (3rd & 4th..pretty sure 2nd is good).
I've never messed with a clutch before and I don't know if I just need a clutch kit (looking at DP Clutches DPK Clutch Kit from denniskirk.com for $134) or if there would be any point to changing the clutch basket, etc.

Thoughts?

One other question. I was riding this weekend across some friend's bumpy field and somehow managed to lose my start button (the little square fell off...I can still start it by pushing my finger in the hole and pushing what the button used to push) and my gas switch (reserve, normal, off). No Honda dealership close. Any recommendations about where to pick up replacements?

Thanks!!

Not sure about the clutch... but you can always hit ebay.... you can get the whole switch set up for about 50-60... takes less then a half hour to put in...

You could always try a new clutch cable there only $15 or so and it fixed the problem on my '01 400ex it was a little different of a problem but your cable may not be engaging the clutch mechanism far enough.
