Default 04 450 Foreman es Speed/Gear Select help

What I did. Battery was dead, replaced battery.
What went wrong. After replacing battery, 1-gear select display disappeared; 2-speedometer changed from miles per hour (MPH) to kilometers per hour (KPH). How do I reset the speedo to read in mph instead of kph? How can I get gear display to re-appear? Called 2 Honda dealerships and both said they never have seen a problem like this and stated they could not help me!

So, it appears no one has had a similar problem. Let me re-ask the question in a different way. Forget the disappearance of the gear select. How does one change the LCD speed display from mph to kph, or kph to mph? Is there a sequence of holding certain buttons where a menu will appear?

Question 2004 Honda Forman 450es display issue

I have a very similar issue as posted, my unit switched from KPH to MPH about one year ago and the dealers say they have never seen that before and have no idea how to change it back?? The speedo was showing MPH but was actually clocking in KPH when checked against another machine riding along side. Now the display has stopped registering speed at all and sits on zero all the time, the shift position, trip meter and clock seem to be working fine. Is there some way to fix this or is it time to replace the meter???
