Hello very nice forum and my first post.
I need some help trying to find out what year this model HONDA ATV was made or any other info.
It belongs to a friend who wants it sold so i will put it up on ebay or something but i dont know nothing about these 4 wheel bikes
owner bought it off someone else and reckons it is something in the region of 1998-2001 but not 100% sure
It says HONDA 400EX (looks like ex but might be fx) as fx is on it as well

also as it has been not used in 1-2 years does it need new battery as i have been told this by someone
PS HAVE DONE GOOGLE IMAGE SEARCH AND CANT FIND THE EXACT SAME ONE ONLY CLOSE

Yes, it is a 400ex. The FX logos are aftermarket stickers. I would say it is a 2000 model year, if the plastics are original.

There should be a VIN number stamped into top cross member where the bumper attached. The 10th digit is the year. x=1999 y=2000 1=2001 etc...

do you know what sort of price i would get for one that age as i don't want to over/under price it.

 

Prices will vary by region. You may want to check out an online pricing guide like NADA. Last time I priced out my '99 it was around $1600.
